Our Installation Process
- Site assessment — We look at the existing surface or ground, drainage, slope, and access points before any work begins.
- Excavation and base preparation — The sub-base is excavated to the correct depth and compacted. A properly prepared base is what prevents settling and cracking later.
- Formwork — Forms are set to define the edges and control the finished grade.
- Concrete pour — We use mix specifications suited to London’s climate, with the appropriate strength and air-entrainment for freeze-thaw resistance.
- Finishing — The chosen surface finish is applied while the concrete is workable.
- Curing and sealing — The slab is allowed to cure properly before sealing is applied.
A Note on Sealing
